The USTechSupport Online Backup Client is a Windows application to manage your digital assets in USTechSupport Online Backup. With USTechSupport Online Backup Client you can create and manage your scheduled backup, browse, upload, download, and share data to and from your Data Vault. Ideally this application will be installed and run on your main computer at home or at the office where you want to have a scheduled backup running.
To use USTechSupport Online Backup Client, download and install the application from the location provided to you in the confirmation e-mail which is sent to you upon purchase.
You start the application by double clicking on the USTechSupport Online Backup icon on your desktop. Log in, and begin to fill your Data Vault. You can do this one of two ways:
If you selected the standard (recommended) setup option during the installation process, then several backups were created which will automatically identify your critical data files and back them up for you. These pre-defined backups will run automatically when you start your PC and back up your existing and new files for you without any needed user interactions.
You can also move files and folders between your computer and USTechSupport Online Backup on an ad hoc basis using the Data Vault Manager. Either drag-and-drop like any other Windows programs, or select the items you to move into your Vault or back to your computer and click the upload or download buttons. That's it.
We've got tons of Advanced Options available for those of you who like a little more control, but if you want to set-it-and-forget-it or just use USTechSupport Online Backup for convenient storage and access, this is all you need to know.
USTechSupport Online Backup Desktop is currently supported on:

My Online Backup software says that I have the incorrect username / password.
If you have forgotten your password, please visit the following link, and enter the email address associated with your account. You will then be emailed a link allowing you to create a new password.
If I delete a file from my hard drive that is already backed up, will it get deleted from my Online Backup storage as well?
If you delete a file from your hard drive it will not be deleted from your Account. We believe that a backup solution should not delete files just because you deleted them from your local computer either accidentally or on purpose. We keep all files, which also allows you to use our system for storage as you free up local disk space. This compares to systems that simply "mirror" your current system. The only way a file will be deleted from your Account is if you manually deleted it using our software tools.
How do I enable File Status icons?
*Please note that while the application does not have to be open, it must be running for your Status Icons to appear in Windows Explorer.
Why did my account get suspended?
There are several reasons your Online Backup account may have been suspended:
I cancelled my account, but am still receiving emails about Online Backup.
If you do not plan to continue using Online Backup, please disregard these emails. We postpone cancellation for 30 days in order to protect your backed up files in the event you decide to resume service, or have not yet retrieved backed up files. You will receive a final cancellation notice 30 days after cancelling your account.
